So who is my target audience?
Because this is a U.K drama/action based movie the audience which i am targeting is specific. my primary audience are male between the ages of 15-25. they will be mainly students at college and at universities and some will be working. as i have been to see films which have a similar genre and are also U.K based i realized that the people who watch these movies don't come from many different backgrounds but rather are black and Asian. these are the mass audiences although this movie will appeal to people from different backgrounds. the audience will also have previous knowledge of this genre from other movies and t.v series.

This genre was around for some time but was really in the spotlight scince the release of Adulthood and kidulthood. These two movies which were direted by Neol Clarke captured many teenagers attention with some even watching the movie twice at cinema. Other movies include Shifty, One Day, Rollin with the nines and Bullet Boy. they are all set in rural areas of London, Birmingham and Manchester. what these movies were able to do was to put on display something which mainly teenagers would 'conform' to as it showed them that they are important in society. E.g if a movie about women was to be released and it showed a positive image of females then this would capture the attention of the women and it can be something which they are proud of.

How am i going to make what the audience want?
well firstly music plays a big role in such movies. in the movies which i have mentioned above they all use soundtracks from a genre known as grime. it is this which alot of teenagers can realte to when hearing it. another influencial factor is the use of dialouge. the accent and aslo slang which is used on the streets has to be portrayed in the movie. This makes the audience feel as if they can watch this movie becouse they feel a part of it and relate to the characters, story and the setting.

Filming

After two weeks of filming we have filmed our main parts but have one more important scene to shoot. Me and the group got together and we decided on which seens we should film. We tried to shoot the action from different angels in order for us to break the convention but also to add a bit more excitment to the trailer. Humaira and Amina were in charge of the camera work and i was directing and acting. The shooting went very well as all the group contributed in giving suggestions on how we can improve and what we can change. We learned alot from this experience and that its not as easy as it looks but we all enjoyed our time but most importantly done the shooting. i also learnt that when filming a lot of things change, e.g we wanted to have a long shot of me running down a long road but once we shot it it didn't come out as well as we expected so we had to change it and think of a new idea. so we didnt have to stick to the initial plan we made.

Pre-Planning/Research

• Watched trailers adulthood, west 10 london and rollin with the nines for me to find a link between the specific genre.
• Met up with the group and decided on the end product for the trailer.
• Roles have been given to indivisuals and I will be acting in the trailer as the main character.
• Presentation on what the movie is about and how we will go on in making it was presented to the class.
• Examples of possible music to use have been collected as i found that music plays a big role in uk drama movies.
